Our R/C Flying Site, was established in 1979. It is located in the Northwestern section of Oklahoma City, at the South end of Lake Hefner, mid way between Meridian and Portland Blvd, 1/4 mile east of the Fire Station, off of South Lake Hefner Shore Drive. 
Our Flying field is 12.3 acres total size. 9 acres of Grass, 1000 feet North / South by 500 feet wide, 650 feet East /West by 250 feet wide. An Asphalt Runway that is 250 feet long by 32 feet wide.

We have about 100 members, flying everything from Small Electric to Turbine Scale Models, both rotary-wing & fixed-wing. We 
welcome all 
flying R/C modelers at our field. All pilots must have a current AMA license. AMA turbine waivers are required if flying
turbine aircraft. 

Effective January 1, 2009 dues for the TORKS are as follows:
If the dues are paid between January 1st and June 30th of the current year:

Dues for Membership are divided into the following categories
OPEN = Over Age 19 but not yet 65 + $70/year
Additional OPEN family member $45 if living at the same address as the Open Member of the same family name.
OPEN = Age 65 and OVER = $60/year
YOUTH Under Age 19 = $15/year
YOUTH Under Age 19 = FREE if living at the same address as the Open Member of the same family name.
 

R/C Flight Training is held every Thursday evening during 
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME. A Club Trainer is available for the first 3 Orientation Lessons. Buddy Boxes and Training Cords are available during Training. Volunteer Instructors will do their best to help you learn to fly an R/C Model.
